Building it in public · 2026

Everyone sells “AI agents.” I’ll show you how it really goes.

I’m building an agentic business step by step, out in the open — the setup, the stuff that breaks, the fixes. Follow along and build yours right next to mine.

Sound familiar?

Everywhere you look, someone’s pitching this.

“AI agents.” “Agentic businesses.” It’s the future, they say. And maybe it is.

But if you’re a busy owner — or you run an agency — it mostly just sounds overwhelming. One more big thing you don’t have time for. And here’s the part the ads skip: most of the time, it doesn’t even work on the first try.

The part no one shows you

The training looked easy. Then you sat down to do it.

You buy the hour-long course. On screen, it’s smooth. Then you actually start — and it’s eight hours just to get set up. It finally goes live, and you lose a few more hours figuring out why it broke.

I know exactly how that feels — because I’ve done it. More than once.

But nobody shares that part. The trainings always end at “…and it’s done!” — never at “here’s what broke at 11pm.”

So here’s the plan

I’m going to build one with you. For real.

Step by step. The whole thing — the setup, the parts that break, the fixes. Out in the open, nothing hidden.

By the end you won’t just understand agentic businesses. You’ll have watched one get built — and you’ll be able to build your own.

No 8-hour rabbit holes alone. We do it together.
Here’s how it looks

And don’t worry about the scary words. Every time someone uses one, I’ll just do this:

They say:deploy an autonomous agent
Which just means: you set up one tool to handle one job on its own.
In plain EnglishIt’s a helper that does one thing — like an employee with a single task.
They say:build a workflow
Which just means: you line jobs up so one finishes and the next starts.
In plain EnglishA to-do list that ticks itself off.
They say:connect a knowledge base
Which just means: you give the helper your business info to read first.
In plain EnglishIt does its homework before it answers anyone.
They say:set up a trigger
Which just means: you pick what makes a job start — a new sale, an email, a time of day.
In plain EnglishIt knows when to clock in.

See? Nothing scary. Just plain work — handed off.
